Looks Description: Kenji's typical attire consists of a dark gray, almost black flak jacket with a low collar that he wears underneath a dark royal purple jacket with sleeves that only come down to his elbows. A pair of finger-less gloves with a small metal plate on the back of each glove. A black tank top underneath the flak jacket. A dark gray utility belt that holds his first aid kit (back left), coil of steel wire (right side), and holsters his fuma shuriken (mid back). Standard pair of black sweat pants and dark gray open toed boots. Kenji's village headband is tied around his left bicep below his jacket towards the elbow.



Personality: Kenji is a rather calm and level-headed person who is never one to loose control in a blind rage, carelessly dismiss something that doesn't seem threatening, or allow fear to overtake his judgement. He weighs every important decision, both in and out of combat, in a risk/reward fashion and has been doing so since childhood. Over the years Kenji has become so accustomed to this that it's practically second nature, allowing for well calculated yet fluid and fast paced combat. Kenji holds no negative judgement towards any village, clan, or race in particular. On the other hand he is always cautious of other Shinobi until they can prove to be trustworthy. He respects those above him but will voice his opinion if he believes someone is making a mistake or if something isn't being handled properly. He treats other Genin in a respectful manner, at least those who deserve it. However those who rub him the wrong way will be met with disdain and sarcastic comments meant to cut them down to size. Once lost his respect and trust are hard to regain.

While he doesn't openly seek confrontation Kenji will constantly push himself to become stronger and often enjoys fighting and sparring with opponents that push him to his limits. He would never dream of betraying a comrade or his village. Like the majority of Jinsei Shinobi Kenji treats Denji Karitoriki as an extension of his own body and as a result it never leaves his side, he even brings it everywhere he goes while off duty no matter how troublesome it can become. Apart from that Kenji is a rather normal individual. He goes out on the town every now and then in order to unwind, shares a few laughs, socializes a bit, anything to focus on the here and now for a bit.

Over the years Kenji has gathered a fair amount of information from his studies. He knows of the seven swordsmens' blades, their names, their appearance, and their unique powers as any proper smith should, however he has no desire to acquire them whatsoever. He knows about most of the major clans of the various cities and what some of their special abilities are including the Senju Clan and their wood release, the Kaguya Clan and their bone release, the Uchiha Clan with knowledge of the lesser Sharingan states, the Hyuga Clan and their Byakugan (Doesn't know of the weak point or advanced techniques), and the Kajiya Clan with their metal release (The Kajiya were a Raiugakure clan alongside the Jinsei whose smiths often held a rivalry). He also knows a fair amount about the human body, not as much as proper medical specialists but enough for effective field first aid use. Kenji has a very good sense of direction, which is primarily due to his magnetic chakra which reacts to the planets magnetic field, and can act as a human compass even while blind folded.

Name: Denji Karitoriki (Electromagnetic Reaper)
Type: Claymore.
Appearance: (Visual Aid) The hilt is 18 inches long and wrapped in a grip promoting leather with a simple ball pommel. The crossguard is a foot wide, the red gemstones set in the middle of both sides were given to him by his father and mother. The extended handle and guard section is 8 inches long and the handle is wrapped in the same grip promoting leather, this extended guard may appear to be gold but it's just a decorative coloration put into the same steel the rest of the blade is made from, and is just as durable. The actual blade portion is 5 feet long, giving the weapon a total length of 7'3" with a weight of 58lbs.

Special Ability:

• Excellent Chakra Conductivity: Denji Karitoriki is made from the best chakra conducting steel one can buy, as are most Jinsei weapons, allowing for seamless transition between weapon and master. Coupled with Kenjis expert chakra control this allows for a nearly 100% return on unused chakra making basic chakra imbuement nearly effortless, only costing chakra when it comes in contact with an object or person.
  
• Extremely Durable: Due to the Jinsei magnetic tempering process Denji Karitorikis durability is matched by few blades. It is even capable of going against a few S-rank jutsu and non-imbued S-rank weapons.
  
• Magnetic Field: The blade itself has two chakra sensitive magnetic cores, one running along the inside of each edge and down through the guards around the extended handle. The core running along the inside of the front, or cutting edge as Kenji calls it, pulls on anything magnetized by Kenji. From a distance this pull is barely noticeable but the closer you are to the blade the stronger the pull, however only when you get within six inches of the edge does it produce enough magnetic draw to physically pull a small person towards it, this magnetic fields main purpose is to make it more tiring for enemies to run away and alter trajectories of objects in the air. The core inside the back, or tactical edge, puts out a strong field that repels things magnetized by Kenji, as well any ranged weaponry made from iron or steel. This edge is designed solely for blocking and redirecting attacks, however if the attack/jutsu is fast enough or large enough the magnetic field will have little effect. Only Kenji knows which edge of the blade is the front and which edge is the back.
  
• Magnetic Transference: Any object or person that comes within two feet of Denji Karitoriki is magnetized for five posts and anything that comes in direct contact with it is magnetized for ten. If a Shinobi is magnetized, either through this process or a separate jutsu, all jutsus used after magnetization are also magnetized for the post duration. (Sound jutsu excluded)
  

Origin: Painstakingly hand crafted by Kenji himself while he was just a child apprenticing under his father, a former Jinsei smith. It wasn't always this big, Kenji has reforged it multiple times and changed a few designs over the years to adapt it more to his evolving style and increase in height.

• Highly Advanced Chakra Control: Kenji was born with an already abnormally high chakra control and training under his father, next in line to become the master smith before Raiugakure was destroyed, since he was a child honed his control to a level that nothing is ever wasted and Chakra Flow is practically second nature.

   Born to Takeshi (Father) and Yuri (Mother) Jinsei Kenji had far from what you would call a normal childhood, in fact it's a miracle that he lived long enough to experience his first birthday. While he was just a few months old Takeshi took the infant Kenji to visit his maternal grandparents that lived in a small outlying settlement of Raiugakure, arriving a few hours before devastation would befall Raiugakure, sadly Yuri's duties prevented her from accompanying them. The settlement was far enough away from Raiugakure to remain partially intact, Takeshi and the infant Kenji survived, however his Grandparents did not. With his life in shambles it took every bit of strength Takeshi could muster to scrape what was left together and attempt to find a new life for the two of them.

   It didn't take long before Takeshi sought out a hidden village to call home once more, arriving at the Smoke Clearing Gates of Kemurigakure with infant Kenji in arms. Village life was all he ever knew, and it would be far safer to raise Kenji there, he just hoped Kenji would be happy growing up in their new home. As the years passed Kenji sprouted into a young man, practically skipping the mental state of being a child, while Takeshi found himself in a position that most fit his particular skills, village smith. Kenji was extremely mature for his age, preferring to hold a conversation with one of his fathers customers instead of running off to play with other kids his age. It wasn't that he was shunned by the other children or anything, but he simply didn't like most things other kids did, instead of enjoying the ides of youth he preferred to watch his father work. The Jinsei smithing process was simply mesmerizing to him, not to mention most other people that saw it in action, and Kenji soon found himself wishing he could do the same.

   Kenji's interest in his work didn't go unnoticed by Takeshi, and when he turned 6 Takeshi decided Kenji was old enough to teach, but first he would have to see if Kenji was even capable of learning the process. After getting hold of some chakra sensitive paper Takeshi administered a basic chakra control test, figuring that if Kenji inherited some of his traits he might be able to crinkle the paper slightly at his age, however Takeshi was shocked by the results. Not only was Kenji able to crinkle the paper, the signature trait of Raiton users, but he did it with such ease that it would have put shinobi twice his age to shame. Hell he was even capable of fluidly changing the pattern of the crinkles, something that Takeshi himself could only do through heavy concentration. Needless to say Takeshi was ecstatic, he immediately began teaching Kenji the complicated process of "Lightning Forged Steel".

   It wasn't long before Kenji was helping his father fill orders, he was a natural, and Takeshi couldn't be more proud of him, or so he thought. Kenji found himself wanting to do more for the Village, toying with the idea of becoming a shinobi in his mind as he worked with his father, eventually bringing the topic up a few months after he turned 7. While Takeshi didn't like the idea of Kenji putting himself in danger he couldn't say no, there was no reason Kenji couldn't follow his own dreams, and besides his dedication to the village reminded Takeshi of Yuri. A few weeks later Kenji was enrolled in the Kemurigakure Shinobi Academy, where it quickly became apparent that he was in a league of his own. His chakra control made learning jutsu a breeze, and Kenji found the book work rather easy, in fact he made a habit of staying after in order to study subjects that weren't on the standard curriculum. It took him a while to get the hang of combat basics, hand to hand combat just felt unnatural to him, but when they gave him a training sword to work with things became much easier. Something about using a weapon in combat just felt... right.

   Noticing how quickly Kenji picked up the arts of Kenjutsu Takeshi decided it was time to tell him about their heritage and the old Jinsei way of life, as well as his mother who was a gifted swordsmen of her own right, which all seemed to come into fruition through Kenji. A whole clan of magnetism wielding weapon experts? Kenji had a hard time wrapping his mind around it, this was the first time his father had told him anything about Raiugakure and what happened to his mother, but in the end it strengthened his determination to be the best he could be. If he and his father were really the only two Jinsei left then it was his duty to keep things going, but before he could concentrate that he would need to graduate first, which in the end it didn't take him long to do so. Kenji purposely failed his first graduation exam when he was 9 in order to spend more time studying extra curricular subjects such as medicine, politics, and in depth clan analysis provided under the Kage's revised courses.

   All the while Takeshi was secretly meeting with the Keukage, not wishing to burden Kenji with their discussions. It turns out that the Keukage, James "Vox" Fulton, had taken an interest in Kenji and wanted to keep tabs on his progress. Over the course of Kenji's academy years Takeshi and Vox became fairly close, often confiding in each other various secrets and wisdom, until one day the topic of Vox's unchanging health, age, and appearance over the past 9 years came up. Two things happened during that conversation, Takeshi learned of Vox's true age and his lack of aging, and Takeshi requested that should anything happen to him Vox would look after Kenji. Eventually after a lot of thought Vox accepted Takeshi's request, this happened just a few weeks after Kenji turned 10 and graduated from the Shinobi Academy.

   Upon graduation Takeshi gifted Kenji with full use of his forge, and enough resources to create whatever weapon Kenji wanted, which led to the creation of a slightly shorter Denji Karitoriki. Sadly this was one of the last things Takeshi would be able to give his son, a few months later while Kenji was off on his first away mission Takeshi's shop was destroyed, and his heart torn from his body to fuel a Kinjutsu. When Kenji returned he found nothing but rubble, blood stains, and investigating Shinobi. He was devastated, his father was all he had, and now he was gone. Takeshi left behind a short will hastily etched into the floor behind his counter telling Kenji to always look ahead and to trust Vox. Not knowing what else to do Kenji went with Vox, who then legally adopted him and helped Kenji through his fathers death.

   As the years went on Kenji had come to terms with his fathers death, using his last words as motivation to never turn back from the obstacles that lie ahead. Takeshi's forge was rebuilt and given ownership to Kenji. Kenji found himself at home on the battle field, constantly improving his fighting style and Denji Karitoriki, although he was just as at home behind his forge and in an office. He also found himself growing closer to Vox as the years went on, just as his father did, he was rough on the outside but he only had the best in mind. If anything Takeshi's death made him more determined to carry on the Jinsei name, he wouldn't let their name be stamped out so easily.
