The Kekkei Genkai of the Sōichirō clan revolves around the instability of their Chakra which when it comes into contact with a foreign substance, other than the body of the user, "explodes" upon impact. Although the term explosion is used it is not an explosion in the typical sense for combustion is not a byproduct of the result of impact made by their chakra on a foreign substance. In addition, through the use of Ninjutsu the user can alter the affects of the "explosion" to better suit the situation they are placed in. Lastly, members of the Sōichirō clan are highly in-tune with Fuuinjutsu and the creation of Seals.

Anti-Chakra

The Sōichirō are imbued with chakra that reacts to certain things that come into contact with it, instantaneously becoming unstable and bursting apart, moving outward with blunt force trauma that primarily serves to inflict damage to a target on the surface level. These are not explosions in the traditional combustion sense, but involve the transference of force through energy. For their chakra to reach a state of instability, it must be coerced with an adequate opposing force. It doesn't take much, but it allows for just enough margin so that the members aren't perpetually unstable. While something like molding their chakra in their hand and allowing it to embrace natural wind or water wouldn't do it, use of the kinetic energy produced by the body during physical combat would. The resultant explosions become reabsorbed back into their own bodies and nullified on their end, and thus they do not inflict harm to themselves in this manner.

Anti-Seals

This is another method for the members of the clan to use their ability. In essence, by storing up some reserve of their chakra into Fuuinjutsu seals, it can be made unstable and thus detonate when triggered to release from that which the seal is implemented. The scale and destructive potential of these seals depend on the chakra output involved in each, which correlates to the skill level of their creators, with the smallest application spanning your average shinobi tool like a shuriken or a kunai and acting similarly to a basic explosive note. While the raw manifestation of chakra acts as a more immediate assault, these allow for timed detonations, and can be crafted with strategy in mind. Furthermore, the Sōichirō can even implant the seals on human bodies, or anything really, creating a kamikaze out of themselves or directly blasting a person into sanguine pulp (with OOC permission of course, as with anything lethal or potentially so.)

Release Hierarchy

This mostly applies to the modulation of general ninjutsu molding, but nevertheless, the explosive properties of their chakra can be altered from their natural state of basic destruction and create a morphology that suits different needs. This is known as the Release Hierarchy.

Area of Effect: Designed to cover the widest span and completely envelop a target.
Shockwave: Radiates shockwaves upon detonation, affecting the ground the most.
Vibrational: Converts active force into disorienting and possibly crippling vibrations.
Percussive: Creates booming and deafening sounds to the sense of hearing.
Rebounding: Not centered on damage so much as forcing the target away.
Condensed: The most damaging type, since it compacts to a specific point.

Location: Previously, they resided in the Waistland, but now few members remain so there is no permanent place of residence.

Clan History: The Sōichirō clan was a peaceful entity on the cusp of scientific breakthrough, working in their compound located within the gates of the mysterious and widely tumultuous Waistland. Despite its ties to criminals and other characters of ill repute, it was the perfect stowaway spot for their crowning achievement—a construct most heinous by human standards—the birth of a living radioactive bomb.

It was their home and they appreciated it for what it was, finding it pertinent to maintain the seclusion that The Waistland offered them. They were no strangers to bizarre experimentation in the physics field. Their bloodline extends to antiquity and can be traced back to a couple named Aiko and Rihatsu. Brilliant nuclear physicists, even for the low standards of what constituted the scientific community in the earliest days of the unified shinobi continents. These two lovebirds tirelessly experimented on the human body, extracting and implementing energies from any sources they could find and creating an anomaly of the natural. Adaptation took its course in their bodies from the constant barrage of substances harmful and helpful alike, laying dormant in their bloodline the potential for a chain reaction that festered like a cancer.

War engulfed the lands, smothering it in strife and drowning it in blood. All of their energy became focused into the construct of this weapon they had in mind, which not only crossed the line of science fiction so much as it threw up on it. In their effort to achieve something over enemy nations and secure almost certain victory, caution was thrown to the wind and more aggressive field testing was achieved. Several months passed from this point and the clan had managed to create a ticking time bomb from within their compound set to detonate at the first instability. In their haste, they thought nothing of it, but the curtain was being yanked back for a terrible event to take center stage.

The Waistland experienced the worst negative cosmological surge anyone could have committed to imagination, opening the path to what is now referred to as The Great Explosion. After the Sōichirō had been exposed to the barrage of cosmic energy, their chakra pathway system became destroyed and rebuilt through a foreign sub-type of γ radiation inherited through years of unnatural selection. This reaction was carried into their bodies on a molecular and subatomic level, triggering a process that orchestrated changes in the fabric of their Deoxyribonucleic acid.

They had achieved their goal. The Sōichirō had became their own perfected endgame . . . Through the ages the Sōichirō have become few in number and now remain few in number . . .

Due to the instability of their chakra, members of the Sakuretsu clan are prohibited from learning, expelling, or performing any type of technique that would be considered "Elemental" if they are under the rank of Chūnin. When they obtain the rank of Chūnin they then may learn to obtain a single element that their bodies permit by returning to the Sakuretsu Clan Compound and learning from an elder. In addition, the element they have begun to master is weakened, thus they cannot expel a jutsu over the rank of "A". Again, due to the instability of their chakra, members of this clan are unable to perform Medical Ninjutsu that is beneficial to the Health of others. Otherwise, their chakra would merely rebound on the body and cause damage that wasn't present to begin with.

Description: This is a bloodline trait of the Sakuretsu clan. As their chakra circulates through their body, it remains in a stable condition where it functions as any other kind would. However, when it becomes exposed to the outside world, it has the potential to be brought to a state of instability, whereupon it will break apart at its core and create violent outward energy explosions, transferring force and inflicting damage to anything that happens to come into contact with it from the surface level. The user is an exception to this damaging effect. As it moves outward, energy that makes its way back to the owner of the chakra becomes harmlessly absorbed into their body.

Description: This is a form of Weapon Arts used by members of the Sakuretsu clan. Practitioners of this style use their ability to store portions of their stable chakra into ninja tools with seals, at which point they will be thrown into or near an opponent, signaling their chakra to release and causing it to detonate. The damage potential for these depend entirely on the weapons used, as the seal will cause more damage as its size is enhanced and more chakra is placed inside of it. The hierarchy is found under the Antimaterial Seals entry. As such, the size of the seal—and thus its overall potency—are limited to the physical span of the weapon that the user places the seal on.

Description: This is a form of hand-to-hand combat used by members of the Sakuretsu clan. Practitioners of this style use very stout and forceful movements, aiming their strikes with pinpoint accuracy into specific areas on the opponent. For each strike, the user will project a set amount of their chakra from their bodies and apply it to an outer epidermis (or a target surface), at which point its natural function of breaking apart and releasing potent explosive properties will come into play in a compressed and forceful manner. When in use, this stance takes on a very theatrical style, with the ability to violently blow opponents in any direction, comparable to striking a ping pong ball with a paddle. Equal to its theatrics is its potency, and the potential it has to cause mass destruction, wearing down even the most resilient fighters.

Description: This is a secondary bloodline ability of the clan, where their Antimaterial Chakra is utilized through the fuuinjutsu application of seals. Any practical solid surface can hold one of these seals. After they have been placed, they can be released remotely with the use of a single hand (middle and ring fingers upright, thumb overlapping the index and pinky fingers pointing downward). Once released, the chakra of the clan member goes unstable and explodes. The destructive potential and span of these releases depend on the chakra amount  instilled into each seal. The more chakra is infused into the seal, the larger it needs to be, though the design does not change.

Description: This is a basic ninjutsu technique of the Sakuretsu that will allow them to alter the explosive properties of their chakra in order to suit different needs that they have. While they are preparing to use an application of their chakra, this technique becomes compounded with that application and thus alters how it reacts when the energy goes unstable. It has a basic explosive function by default, though that is not always useful when it comes to matters of strategy and adaptation, especially on a battlefield that constantly changes.

Area of Effect: This makes the explosion reach twice its radius at the cost of only inflicting a fraction of the damage (if it would normally span 10 meters, it could go 20). It is designed to envelop the body and cover as much surface as it can. Use of this cycle is accomplished by using less chakra and spreading it farther out. While its destructive potential would be reduced, it still hurts just as much as an initial release would—which is to say, a shitload. It can be used for scare tactics, torture, or just for being cruel.

Shockwave: Converts force into powerful penetrative shockwaves that affect hardened surfaces the most, especially the natural ground. Excellent against opponents who like to burrow, for reverberating against armor, or for specific purposes where their use would be the most conventional solution—like sending them through a body of water or breaking a mountain apart.

Vibrational: Converts force into skeleton-rattling vibrations. Effective at completely disorienting an opponent with each strike. Imagine if you were shaken violently and tried to walk straight. With this cycle active, multiply that sensation. While not completely debilitating on its own, it does have the potential to be. And if you thought shockwaves were good against armor, this would be f.ucking hilarious.

Percussive: Converts force into loud noise. Due to the nature of this cycle, it should be performed in conjunction with techniques that cover a much wider ground than the others, perhaps sealed inside of a weapon and thrown. This is because, being sound, it could easily damage the user just as much as the target. It can temporarily weaken the hearing and possibly screw with equilibrium.

Rebounding: It doesn't serve to damage the target at all, but more so it forces them away. Any of the properties that would have been used to actively inflict damage on an opponent are instead converted and layered so that it becomes focused enough on anything drawing near to forcibly repel it. While it doesn't harm a target on its own, it can however launch them farther and higher.

Condensed: This makes the explosion draw back half of its radius at the benefit of inflicting more damage to a specific point (if it would normally span 10 meters, it would go 5). It is designed to focus on a single part of a surface. Use of this cycle is accomplished by using more chakra and drawing it in tighter. This is a cycle that is almost always used for brutal injuries or assassinations.
