His sense of morals in battle are at the same level as an animal on the hunt. He believes, that one must always do what they say they will do, for words spoken aloud made as a promise creates a contract that you signed, stating that no matter what happens, you will accomplish whatever feat you set for yourself. The lines of battle must first be drawn, and once agreed upon, if a fight to death is decided upon, no matter what, one of them will die there. This is how he carries himself in the world beyond the battlefield as well. He feels a great amount of happiness when moving around through the intricate cave systems and cite streets that make up Donzokogakure, and will often do so in order to relieve stress. He sees every member of Donzokogakure as his friend, and ally, and will fight for any one of them.

Yakushin. He was born an expected prodige, being the oldest son of the head of the village. He was practically set for life at the first sign of his life. His clan, Shugyoku, had for the past few decades stayed in Donzokogakure, but hadn't really reached out to connect with any other clans. They stayed mostly secluded, though their children attended the academy like normal. As with many other clans, they too have their own kekkei genkai, a specific blend of chakra elements which runs in their family. This blend allows for the use of Shoton jutsu; jutsu using crystal chakra.

On his fourth birthday, still too young to join the academy, but old enough to look up to his father, their small family went on an outing to have lunch outside the city. He was bound to his mother's back in a cloth, keeping him there as they made their way through the intricate cave patterns to the surface. While scaling a steep incline, the cloth came loose, and Yakushin found himself falling through the caves for several minutes in mindnumbing darkness. No matter where he struggled to look as he slid, he could see nothing but blackness. However long the time was before he woke up again had passed, he found himself struggling to acclimate to this new world of complete darkness. For the first day, he did nothing but sit there and cry. On the second, he did the same. Then, on the third, he finally got too hungry, and so he crawled. A bug. A plant. Whatever it was that he found, he ate, and eventually, he even came across water. He continued to crawl, continued to do what it took to survive instincitively, and as he did, he stumbled further and further downwards.

Time didn't exist down in the dark, but eventually, he found himself convinced that his body had gotten bigger, even stronger. Even his sight, after many headbuts into the cave wall, seemed to begin to adapt to the intense darkness, but as it did, he found that he was not alone. All around him, for the entirety of what he remembered his life to be, he had been watched over by an evolutionary branch in bats. They had grown out of their wings, and stuck to crawling around on the cave grounds, and it seemed that their eyes too had evolved to fit their world. He felt no malice or fear when around them, as he knew they had been with him the entire time. Unbeknownst to him, even though he hadn't ever even stopped to consider it, he had a family the entire time. He lived amongst them as their brother for a while. He hunted, ate, and slept with them as a part of their family, until, that is, while exploring the upper reaches of the dark caves of his home, he found a soft breeze blowing. Following it further and further up, a sudden flash of light burned his retnas, and a loud scream echoed painfully in his head. He collapsed on the ground in pain and passed out in shock.

It was five years later he found himself waking up in his room. He had another dream about the first time he stumbled back onto the surface. The cave he followed took him up to one of the many entrances at the very edge of the city. A nearby student of the academy was out training, and when he crawled from the inky depths, pale skin and sunken eyes, she mistook him for a ghoul and shrieked. She alerted someone nearby, and soon, a large group had gathered around to see his body, until word of this occurance reached his mother's ears and she came running followed closely by his father. They burst through the crowd of people and hugged his unconscious body, refusing to let him go even as medical nin arrived on the scene and began to work on him. He was now waking up to go and take the Chunin exam. He was slightly older than the other chunin, having been a few years behind everyone, but that gave him a slightly unfair advantage, and lead to a swift succession of wins and a new rank.

He trained hard with his clan and got along well with the members in his squad. They completed missions often, and were beginning to make quite the name for themselves, specifically Yakushin, and five years later, he finally saw himself as a Jounin. During a battle between the late Donkage and another ninja, his team mates had also met their ends, but it was their involvement in the events that took place that lead to their offering of him, someone who hadn't but only just made Jounin, the title of the new Donkage. Of course he said yes. In the five years he had as the village's leader, he had done all he could to protect, and help them. Not one day did he allow himself any rest. If he was not working on paperwork or disciplining, he was either training or helping in the village somehow, however, every now and again, he would duck off to run around through the many cave systems around Donzokogakure, and walk amongst the Kouromi.
