LOOKS DESCRIPTION: A tallish, somewhat oddly-proportioned man apparently in his mid thirties. He's well-muscled and lean-limbed, but his torso seems thicker than it should be in proportion to the rest of him. Still in the same lean shape, it's just that his ribcage seems too big for the rest of him. His brown hair is kept short and relatively neat, and he makes sure to stay as clean-shaven as possible. His eyes are brown, and seem to have a tired look to them most of the time. His attire is usually simple and casual. Grey shirt and brown pants, chosen more for their comfort and ease of movement than for their appearance. Boots are preferred, unless the job calls for quieter footwear. And over it all, an old, well-worn brown trenchcoat. It's clearly been repaired many times, but Vox refuses to replace it. Under it, there's a faded old tattoo of a sword an shield on his right shoulder. Personality Information PERSONALITY INFORMATION: Vox has had some trouble, but he's in better condition now. He's still being treated for PTSD, although he's been deemed fit for active service. Therapy and medication keep his past in the past, and he's been able to stay entirely sober almost 10 years now. In his current state, his tactical experience and leadership skills can shine through. He generally keeps pretty cheerful, though will get very quiet if asked about the old days. The wars aren't a time he likes to remember. If he's ever forced to go cold turkey on his medication, he may be at risk of a violent snapback. Most importantly, he keeps a sharp divide between his personal life and his work. On his days off, he's quick with a joke, and generally pretty calm and relaxed. While he works, he's almost a different person. As soon as the fighting starts he shuts down emotionally. His face is like an unmoving mask, and he gets that old thousand-yard stare. The friendly, gentle joker everyone knows is replaced by an unfeeling machine. When the danger passes, he eases back into his normal persona, but will remain on edge for a while. He can resist torture, and keep fighting after injuries that would send most people into shock. Demolitions expert: Vox has spent a lot of time fighting on his own with limited resources. With the right supplies, he can brew up makeshift explosives. These are less compact than ninja tags, but pack a similar punch and require no chakra, allowing him to use them and making them less noticeable to the usual methods of detection. FLAWS/WEAKNESSES: Spirit Null: Vox is completely incapable of using chakra. His reserves are vanishingly small, and his brain simply isn't wired to access what little he has. He can never learn jutsu of any kind, and is incapable of dealing with genjutsu on his own. PTSD: Due to the traumatic events in his past, Vox is currently being treated for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. He needs regular medication to keep it under control, and can flare up into hallucinations, flashbacks, and even fits of violence if taken off his medication. Things that remind him of the events that caused his condition can cause him to momentarily forget himself and think he's back on the battlefield. Minor cuts and bruises will heal within a post or two, broken bones or serious lacerations will be healed after the fight is over, and lost limbs will grow back in about a week. This also prevents his body from noticeably aging, as they can keep making new cells indefinitely without breaking down. The greatest threat is from burns or acid, which change the chemical composition enough that they can't just reabsorb and remake the damaged tissue. These wounds take longer to heal as he has to remake them from scratch. Regeneration takes a lot out of him. While healing, they can't use their dilated perception, and will tire more quickly depending on the severity of the wound. If severely wounded, they will appear exhausted while they recover, moving slowly and clumsily. While regrowing a limb, they will need bed rest the whole time. While regenerating lost tissue (burns, missing limbs, etc.) his metabolism goes through the roof, forcing him to eat constantly to get the raw materials for the regeneration. Until he gets those raw materials, his body can't start replacing lost tissue and that healing will be on hold.

From his perspective he will be going at normal speed while the world around him slows to a crawl, seeming to move at one fifth its normal speed.. From anyone else's perspective, he becomes a blur of movement that can't speak coherently. This can only last for at most five seconds, and is very tiring, taking up as much energy as if he had been going all-out for several minutes.

For most these are extremely rare, only caused by horribly traumatic events or snapback from psychiatric medication. Once triggered, the Gen-Aug's body will start producing stimulants at a dangerous rate. He will have no awareness of what he's doing, seeing only moving red shapes and wanting only to stop them from moving by any means necessary. In spite of his enhanced strength in this state, he will not be lucid enough to think of defense and will simply charge into any attack leveled at him. If allowed to rampage for about 5 posts, or if he runs out of targets, he will fall unconscious.

Name: Gen-Aug CQC Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Jutsu Prerequisites: None Description: A military fighting style developed for Gen-Augs, based on the style used for normal humans and adapted for the GA's superior abilities. Generally a grounded style, mostly avoiding acrobatics. It is largely built around grapples and holds, and its strikes are normally simple, hard attacks with the knees, elbows and palms. The basic concept is to pull someone in close and then either wreck their joints or beat them to a pulp with whatever is available. Especially well-suited to disarming, as it was designed for fighting armed opponents in war zones.
Name: Limb Trap Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Catches an attacking arm or leg, locking the joint. This can then be transferred into a takedown, pin, or other counterattack. The limb is usually kept overextended, holding the victim off-balance so they won't be in a position to defend themselves. When an arm is trapped, a quick turn can topple them face-first if they don't catch themselves. With a leg, a pull can send them into a painful split, or a turn can pitch them onto their face, overextending the hip and leaving it in an easy position to dislocate. Alternatively, one can simply stomp on their spine while they're down.

If the attacker has a knife and doesn't drop it, there's a good chance it will end up inside them. Whether or not the target is armed, this leaves them in a difficult position, They can essentially be steered with the pinned arm, kept close and used as a hostage until they manage to break the hold.
Name: Sleeper Hold Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Grabs from behind, latching onto the neck and cutting off blood to the brain. If unbroken, will cause unconsciousness in seconds. Effective even against larger opponents, but leaves his arms occupied and opens him to counterattacks while he maintains the hold. This also leaves him in one place the entire time, allowing large opponents to walk around slamming into things in an attempt to knock him loose.

Name: Triangle Choke Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: A chokehold used against a prone target, or a much larger standing opponent. Locks a leg around the neck and holds it there with both arms, effectively cutting off airflow and bloodflow. Very difficult to break out of, but keeps all limbs occupied and leaves him effectively helpless against other attackers.
Name: Charge Breaker Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Counterattack against a charging opponent. Sidesteps, knees the opponent in the gut, and flips them over his leg. Relatively quick and stable attack, but not very damaging. Mostly relies on throwing the opponent into other obstacles for its damage potential. Normally, this will drop the opponent on their head at full running speed, giving ample opportunity for head and neck injuries. Anyone who doesn't want a concussion would be wise to roll with the attack. If the victim doesn't roll properly, there's likely to be permanent nerve damage.
Name: Flying Armbar Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Grabs the opponent's wrist and jumps, wrapping around the arm and rolling into an armbar on the ground. One leg goes across the neck or shoulders and the other goes across the chest, effectively pinning the target. The arm is left overextended and can easily be broken or dislocated from this position. Alternatively, this leaves him in a good spot to rain kicks on the opponent's now-defenseless head and ribcage. Effective against single opponents, but leaves him exposed to counterattacks if someone else is nearby.
Name: Spear Takedown Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Charges in a low stance, ramming his shoulder into the opponent's gut. With them off-guard, he lifts them off their feet and twists, slamming them down on their head and shoulders. Can potentially cause permanent neck or head injuries if they don't manage to roll with the attack. Leaves his head exposed during the rush.
Name: Pain in the Neck Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: A Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Used during a rear chokehold. This is as simple as it is lethal: snap the neck with a quick twist. If the opponent doesn't manage to escape the hold in time, this will destroy the spinal column, causing either permanent paralysis or death. Also leaves the target open to sound the alarm if he isn't quick, since he has to uncover their mouth to execute the move.
Name: What's Yours is Mine Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Steps past a stabbing attack, trapping the opponent's arm under his and trapping it against his body. With the weapon sticking harmlessly out past him, Vox elbows the target in the chin, dazing them and weakening their grip enough for him to take the offending weapon.
Name: Leg Lock Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: C Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Rams the target with his shoulder, knocking them backwards. As they fall he grabs one of their ankles and traps it under his arm, falling back and wrapping his legs around the trapped leg, bracing against the target's body. At this point, all it takes is a quick stretch to dislocate the hip. Should be done quickly, as it leaves him defenseless against kicks from the other leg and open to attack from the victim's allies.
Name: Back to You Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Goes for the opponent's weapon arm, grabbing the wrist with one hand and the inside of the elbow in the other. In this position, he has a lot more leverage than his opponent and can force the arm to bend, turning a weapon back towards them. It is possible to power out of this, but would take an incredible amount of brute strength. It's better to slip out of the grab before it can be put to use.

Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description: Yanks the opponent's arm at full force and puts a leg out in front of theirs to keep them from balancing, pulling them off-balance and into an attack. Their head will usually be jerked back by the momentum, leaving the throat open. If unarmed, he goes for an elbow jab to the throat. With the additional momentum of the pull, if this hits it would crush the target's windpipe, causing them to suffocate if they don't receive quick medical attention. Can also be used with a knife, where the added force of the pull makes sure that it ends up buried to the hilt in the victim's chest.
Name: Commando Strike Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Taijutsu/Weaponry Rank: S Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC Description:Moves up behind the target, slowly and carefully to avoid detection, then covers their mouth and pulls their head back with his left hand back to silence any cries. In his right hand he has a knife, which is immediately used to make sure the target won't be able to make much noise. There are three main ways of doing this. Most widely used is slitting the throat, which has the advantage of severing the windpipe and permanently silencing the target. Secondly there's a stab to the kidney, which causes massive blood loss and leaves the target too weak to do much of anything. Due to the length of time this takes to kill, and the possibility that they could make noise in the meantime, this is better used against lone targets or to bait a trap. Finally, there's the option of stabbing upwards through the base of the skull, destroying the brain stem and killing instantly. Quickest and quietest, but it takes some precision and strength to pull off.
Name: Shish Kebab Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Weaponry Rank: A Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC, Gen-Aug Hunter Class Description: If a Gen-Aug can't escape a hold, they will sometimes stab through themselves to kill an opponent. They rely on their own toughness to survive, avoiding their own vital organs while aiming to cause as much damage as possible to their opponent. Can be used by humans, although it will likely hospitalize them.
Name: Entrapment Canon/Custom: Custom Element: None Type: Weaponry Rank: A Jutsu Prerequisites: Gen-Aug CQC, Gen-Aug Hunter Class Description: The user allows himself to be stabbed through one of his hearts, trapping the opponent's weapon and leaving them open and off-guard for a counterattack. If the counter fails, he can keep fighting, albeit weakly, for two turns after this, or remain on his feet for four if he doesn't exert himself. After that, he'll need to rest and heal. Usually used as a last-ditch attack or to fake immortality.

It is the exact opposite of Gentle Fist which is used mainly by the Hyūga clan.[1] This style of fighting involves smashing your opponent and is generally used only by extremely physically powerful and dominating shinobi.
Name: Dynamic Entry Rank: D Type: Taijutsu Element: None Range: Close Description: The technique is basically the user performing a jump kick into their opponent's face. Might Guy is known to throw a weapon, such as a kunai, at the enemy to distract them while he takes advantage of their blind spot. Not much else is known about this technique, other than the fact that it is mainly used for an exaggerated appearance by Guy.
Name: Leaf Strong Whirlwind Rank: B Type: Taijutsu Element: N/A Description: A taijutsu using a combination of speed and power. The essence of this technique is concentrated in a spinning back kick, with such speed that not a single person can follow the user's movement, smashing his enemy with overwhelming strength.

The attack is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying as if they weighed nothing. The goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body. History Information HISTORYJames Fulton was born in a rural area without much in the way of a medical system. He was the youngest of three boys, children of parents who had fought in the latest of his region's many wars. It wasn't until his mid-teens that it was discovered that he was a natural Gen-Aug, someone born with serious genetic alterations due to side effects of nearby military tests. In a routine checkup, his doctor discovered what he thought was a heart murmur and sent him to a specialist to have it checked out. They instead discovered that he had two hearts, and a number of other things that didn't belong. Within days, the military was there, offering him a chance at adventure. Like a schmuck, he took their offer. This turned out to be a mistake on a lot of levels. Firstly was the fact that military life wasn't the fantastic adventure that had been advertised to him. The training was brutal, the discipline was strict, and the missions were more danger and desperation than adventure and glory. And on top of all this stress, he was just starting to figure out his sexuality in a time and place when being a gay soldier meant a possible court martial. Under all this pressure, Fulton withdrew more and more from social life, focusing on his work. His superiors appreciated the efficiency and ignored the potential warning signs, deciding that he was ready for a career in special ops. The transfer was a mixed blessing, on the one hand giving him more freedom while on the other giving him riskier work. As technology marched onward, Vox started to see some of the perks of his position, and the risks. Near the end of his time in the formal military, he was called in for what he was told were routine shots Instead, they were gene therapy. After several weeks of splitting headaches, he was finally told what had happened. He had been augmented, given weak psychokinetic abilities to enhance his stealth skills.That sealed things for Fulton. As soon as the current conflict was over, he submitted his resignation. He knew the military was practically above the law, and figured a private company might have more oversight. Despite his decades of experience, Fulton was still naive. He joined a private outfit called The Order, one that was known for employing Gen-Augs like him. Things quickly went from bad to worse. The Order was just as corrupt as the system he had left, blatantly violating the law and bribing the authorities to look the other way. What set them apart was their lack of official immunity. As long as The Order employed you, they would pay good money to make sure none of their illegal activities were pinned on you. Anyone who left lost that protection and was immediately arrested and imprisoned on a wide array of charges, while the company kept its nose clean. Fulton wanted a way out, but there didn't seem to be one until the mother of all coincidences gave him a chance. The Order's power depended on their Assassins, especially the upper tier like Vox. It started with one who had wanted to retire making a bid to escape by tearing through the Order's power base. Upon hearing of this, another assassin with a history of mental instability decided to make his own escape. Fulton couldn't pass up that chance. He joined in the escape attempt, but knew he wouldn't be able to just get away from the Order like that. As long as he was alive, they'd be able to get to him. But if he was assumed dead, that wouldn't be a problem. Vox faked his own death in battle, then used the chaos and confusion of that night to slip away and leave the country. Vox found a new home in the Shinobi Nations. With nothing more than a suitcase of clothes and a few sharp implements, he set out to find a spot to settle down. After a bit of wandering and research, he offered his services to Kemurigakure. He needed a village to watch his back in case his old friends came for him. But about three years after he had left, he heard some news that floored him. Nobody from home would come for him. In fact, there wasn't a home left. After endless wars and continuous escalation, his homeland had finally torn itself apart. One last frantic exchange had left the whole place an irradiated wasteland, unfit for humans for years to come. Another three years have passed since then, and the shock still hasn't quite worn off. He's done well for himself, rising to the rank of head jounin, but he still isn't quite all right. Dusting himself off, he started pulling out the bits of smashed body armor that had kept him alive on his trip through the architecture. BeepVox froze. He hadn't thought there were any security systems down here. He'd arranged this fight to be away from prying eyes. Scanning the room, he spied a familiar shape on the wall. Who the hell placed demolition charges down here? Why? Vox had no time to ponder. Had to disable the charges. No visible timer, who knew when they were going to go off? Luckily these were stable, should be easy to disarm. He approached the bomb, reaching into his pocket and- Wonderful. Of course his tools would have been wrecked in the fight. Looking them over, he could see they were entirely useless. Well, time for Plan B. Throwing aside the broken tools and muttering a few curses, Vox made a mad dash for the exit. Might not be time to go through the tunnels, better take the surface access. Vox's pupils dilated, and the smashed toolkit almost seemed to freeze in the air. His movement was like a blur, streaking towards the exit and leaving a trail of cracked tile from his footfalls. The metal of the ladder bent as he climbed it, not meant for the sudden impacts of a panicking GA. Below him, Vox could see the room fill with an orange light as the charge started to detonate. With one last desperate push, Fulton threw himself over the lip of the access shaft and ran for cover. Time resumed its normal slow pace, and Fulton sat down to catch his breath, watching the smoke rising from the tunnel he had been in hardly a second before.
