[b]Bloodline Ability:[/b] The sharingan is a special eye ability that is only apparent in the Uchiha clan. It is an advanced characteristic in the pupil of the person's eyes. The sharingan has four stages. Each stage is classified by the number of semi-colons, or tomoe, it has. The first stage has one, the second two, and the third three. The fourth stage is the exception. The fourth stage is known as the Mangekyō Sharingan. It's appearance varies from person to person. It no longer has tomoe anymore, instead it is a single shape, specific to the user. The sharingan itself gives no boosts to the users strength, speed, or intelligence. Instead it gives him perception. The ability to see the things most people miss. This perception is the difference between life and death. It is also tasking on the mind, being able to see what may strike you down, but being able to do so is and entirely different story.

[b]Clan Traits[/b] The Sharingan is the only trait passed down from member to member. All Uchiha members are practitioners of Katon(Fire) Ninjutsu. (To be an Uchiha you must have fire ninjutsu as a primary or secondary element)

[b]Clan History:[/b]
The Uchiha clan descended from the elder of the two sons of the Sage of the Six Paths. The elder brother inherited the Sage's "eyes", powerful chakra and spiritual abilities. When it came time for the Sage to choose a successor, he questioned the two on what course of action they would follow to bring order to the world. The elder believed that power was the way to bring peace, while the younger believed love was the way. The Sage favoured the ideal of the younger brother, and therefore designated the younger as his successor, causing the elder to be filled with jealousy and hate. From this hate came what Tobi calls the Curse of Hatred (憎しみの呪い, Nikushimi no Noroi). From the younger son descended the Senju clan who would be the eternal rivals of the Uchiha.

Before the founding of the ninja villages, the Uchiha were one of the many mercenary clans for hire. Because of their Sharingan, the Uchiha clan came to be known as one of the two strongest clans, the other being the Senju clan. Madara Uchiha was particularly powerful, and, upon attaining the Mangekyō Sharingan, he took control of the clan. Under his leadership the Uchiha grew stronger, conquering whatever clans they came upon, such that, whenever the Uchiha clan was hired for a job, the opposing side would hire the Senju, and vice versa.

Effects: The second tomoe is an enhanced version of the first tomoe. The user can see through Genjutsu of rank C and lower, and gives them even better chances at being able to read and counter attack and enemy whether he uses ninjutsu or genjutsu. As this stage is more acute, it catches the smaller movements one previously overlooked. (replaces the first tomoe) (The genjutsu immunity becomes passive whenever this stage and other stages after this one are used)

Effects: Using the sharingan, the user can copy jutsu from his opponent. The jutsu can only be used on jutsu whose ranks are lower than the user. Cannot copy bloodline jutsu, forbidden jutsu or jutsu that require skills the user does not have. Can only copy two jutsu per month (real time) (Each jutsu you copy requires the same amount of jp it requires to purchase, jutsu copied counts toward your total jutsu amount)[/spoiler]

Third Tomoe

Effects: The next step in the Uchiha doujutsu. At this level the user is able to track some of the slightest movements by watching the muscles tense before his opponent moves. With the sharingan at this stage, the user can start to see the flow of chakra in a persons body. Unlike a hyuuga that cannot see the tenketsu but an experienced user can see the flow of chakra, helping them know when a jutsu may be coming. (replaces second tomoe)

Effects: Using the sharingan, the user can copy jutsu from his opponent. The jutsu can only be used on jutsu whose ranks are equal to or lower than the users. Cannot copy bloodline jutsu, forbidden jutsu or jutsu that require a skill the user doesn't have. Can only copy 2 jutsu per month (real time) (Each jutsu you copy requires the same amount of jp it requires to purchase, all copied jutsu count towards your total jutsu amount) Replaces the original copy jutsu[/spoiler]

Effects:The final stage of the Sharingan doujutsu. The Mangekyō . The Mangekyō different from the other stages in the fact that it doesn't take over the third tomoe but becomes a separate stage. It also unlocks the persons ability to use the most deadly jutsu of the clan. Note that extended use of the Mangekyo deteriorates the eye, eventually blinding the user.

Effects:It is unique to the Uchiha clan and only those with the Mangekyō Sharingan can perform it. It is said to represent the "Spiritual World and Darkness" In this genjutsu, the user can create any scenario he pleases. He can even make minutes turn into days. For instance he could trap a poor soul in a world were he was stabbed once every minute for what he believed to be three days, but it reality it was only seconds. The Tsukuyomi is different than most genjutsu due to the fact that it cannot be dispelled.

Effects: The jet-black flames of the Amaterasu, said to be as hot as the sun, ignite at the focus of the user's vision. They're unavoidable as long as the user keeps their eyes focused on their target. The flames are extremely powerful, said to be capable of burning through anything in their path, even smothering regular flames easily. Amaterasu is said to burn for seven days and seven nights, and cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods. However, the flames burn fairly slowly, allowing anyone struck by Amaterasu an opportunity to remove whatever clothing or body parts have been caught ablaze. Use of the technique also puts a great deal of strain on the user

Effects: It is able to turn into a humanoid being complete with skin, armor and a real face. It is further able to gain a layer of armor which resembles a yamabushi; in this final stage. The body itself works as a shield against attacks The user can use the ethereal body as a catalyst for his own jutsu, relaying the through. It doesn't enhance the jutsu, but allows use of it outside of the body.
