Natsu formed several hand signs, as a small electric orb formed her hands abefore she jumped back throwing it at the younger genin as she took off circling in the air, as formed several small spider [paint] bombs and dropped them over the field. "Come on Hirano, this the best you got?" She laughed as saw several small bombs get closes before setting them off.

It was a rare non-mission day for Chinatsu, and surprisingly, some how, she got roped into training with Arumi. It was interesting to say the least. The younger girl was really good in close combat, and had come close several time to getting her. Luck and evasion training kept her from really getting hit. Chinatsu grinned as she unleashed more paint bombs, it was frown upon killing genin in training; 'side she wasn't so bad when you got to know her. It was a ranged fight now and she had the advantage.

Arumi was not having a good day. She'd been assigned to train with Chinatsu, and it was not going well. Even with her improvements, the chuunin was still way out of her league. It didn't help that the bitch was constantly flying, staying out of reach. Arumi was spattered with brightly-colored paint already. The Taiyo girl was flying high above her, far out of her reach. Once again, Arumi was reminded of how much her ranged options sucked. She'd tried the Great Breakthrough before, all it had done was scatter the bombs a bit. At the altitude Chinatsu was flying, the most one of those would do was cause a little turbulence.

Inspiration struck, and Arumi formed a few hand signs. “Futon: Mugen Sajin Daitoppa!” She cupped a hand around her mouth and a massive blast of wind shot out. It was more powerful, enough to crack stone. The air was filled with the smell of exhaust as the wind blast rushed towards Chinatsu. That might be enough to do something.

Natsu laughed a little till the wind cut though one of the wing of her bird, she kept control as she aimed for the trees as she landed. She took more of her clay using her normal mouth to chew it before spiting it out. A moment later she looked at a clones of herself. She grinned directing it out to attack as she sent several small C1 creations to attack while tshe started on her second creation. 

Natsu grinned as she formed a small four winged dragon, she tossed it making it poof into a large beast. C2 Dragon was beautiful. Natsu grinned as she climbed on the dragon and directed it to take fight with a heavy wing beat. She watched as Arumi battled with the clone through her scope taking note of weakness directing her creations to prod at her weak points. Chinatsu wasn't trying to be mean, but she believed that the best lessons were learned by experience even if you ended up covered in neon paint.

The genin felt a thrill as she saw the clay bird's wing come off. She'd done it! She'd actually brought Chinatsu down! It had taken her most powerful elemental jutsu, but she'd knocked that damn chuunin off her pedestal! Arumi didn't hate the other girl like she used to, but her attitude could get a bit unbearable at times. It was worse when they sparred, the Taiyo had a habit of lording her flying ability over Arumi. It drove the Hirano nuts. It wasn't her fault her clan was landlocked.

Arumi was just about to celebrate when she realized that Chinatsu might have been really hurt by a fall like that. The higher ups would be furious if she messed someone up in a simple training exercise. It was bad enough that she mauled people on missions, but one of her comrades while training? Not that she wouldn't care about hurting Chinatsu, of course. They traded insults a lot but they were still buddies. She didn't want to hospitalize her buddy.

She was relieved to see Chinatsu emerge from the trees. She was on the ground now, that gave Arumi the advantage. Neither of them was especially trained for taijutsu, but Arumi was taller and had an extra pair of hands. Both for reach and for sheer number of attacks, Arumi had the edge. Besides, almost all she does was in close quarters. She was more comfortable at that range. Chinatsu was putting up a good defense, managing to hold her off.

Arumi's good mood vanished when she heard the poof from the trees. She looked up, taking a punch to the jaw as she was distracted. “Oh fuck...” A clay dragon was taking off. Arumi backpedaled, trying to get some distance. Had she been fighting a clone this whole time? She shook a fist at the sky, roaring at her comrade. “Dammit Chinatsu, get down here! How am I supposed to train fighting if I never get to goddamn fight you?”

"It's called learning to deal with long range!" She shot off an other lighting ball. "We already know that you have good close combat, but at any other range you are in trouble. So we are going work on your evasion skills." She grinned forming a confrontation sign, the dragon's belly bulged a moment before the bugled shifted up the neck. It's mouth opened reveling a minute version of itself. "Ready?" She grinned commanding the missile to fire not waiting for the answer. Her clone copied her before changing forward, send it's own creations after it. 

Chinatsu watched intently as her dragon circled high above, really to attack again. She perused her lips that have been a bit excessive but Arumi was clever and very good at getting out of things, the worst she would come of that would be ringing head and covered in neon pink paint. "Well are you pink or still just muticolored?"

Arumi grumbled. Of course she would say that. Personally, Arumi thought it made more sense to learn ranged combat after she was taught some ranged attacks, but apparently her village disagreed. Besides, as a wind type, her options were a bit limited in some ways. The only decent attack that she could use much needed a fan, and she didn't have one. She'd been thinking of learning more, but there hadn't been time lately. She'd been busy with a lot of things. And now they were just throwing her into ranged combat training with no preparation at all. “Easy for you to say! I can't fucking fly, you might remember!”

Unfortunately, Arumi didn't have time to shake her fist at the sky for long. The clone and its minions were closing in around her. Arumi called her wind chakra into her feet, pushing off at the last second. The Air Bound carried her over their heads, putting her in place for an attack. She took a deep breath, blasting straight down at the cluster with a Great Breakthrough. The blast slammed them to the ground, setting them off and scattering the paint to the sides. Arumi grinned, skidding to a stop a few feet away. There was some fresh paint on her feet, but she was mostly unscathed. “Got you, motherfuckers!”

Her happiness was short-lived as she saw the dragon start to shift. She'd heard about this jutsu, she knew what that change meant. It was going to attack. The air bound probably wouldn't be enough. She tried to gather her wind chakra, but something was wrong. It was being drawn elsewhere. Somehow, her tattoo was pulling it in. Arumi dropped to one knee, letting out a roar as her lower set of shoulderblades felt like they were burning.

When the paint cleared, Arumi was nowhere to be seen. She seemed to have vanished without even leaving a replacement behind. Then, a shadow fell over the dragon. Arumi swooped down from above, carried on a pair of broad batlike wings. “REVEEEEEEEEEEEEENGE!”

Jutsu Learned:

Natsu looked up hearing the younger girl shout. "Always full of surprises! It seems today's lesson has turned to flight school. Lets see how good you are at using those." She grinned falling backward off the dragon, fomring it around the girls feet if she landed. The blonde formed a small four winged bird growing and taking off as she made the dragon detonate into a large cloud of neon pink.

Chinatsu laughed as she stood and waiting a moment to make sure Arumi was ok before taking off laughing as she sculpted more paint bombs, sending them back at the girl behind her setting them off before diving low between the buildings.

Too late, Arumi realized that shouting before you attack someone was probably a bad idea. Chinatsu escaped, and Arumi's legs and punching hand got stuck in the clay. She tried to pull free, but her wings weren't making much leeway and there was nothing to push against that wouldn't get her stuck further. "FUCK!" was all she had time to say before it went off.

Arumi was launched out of the cloud, coughing and completely covered in pink. She shook some of the excess paint off her hands and tried to wipe her face off, cursing under her breath the whole time. "That's it, Boom Bitch, you're dead!" Apparently having learned nothing, Arumi shouted at Natsu and charged again, diving towards her.

"You know Arumi pink is a good color on you!" She laughed banking out of the way before turning down a side street, leaving several bird bombs behind her filling the air with more paint bombs. "You have one hour to catch me. To make this interesting you catch me I'll buy lunch this time, you don't You're buying." She laughed adding more speed as she suddenly flew just five feet over head of the people below. Carefully she let loose a flying mine field of birds if Arumi touched them they would go off.

"FUCK PINK!" Arumi barely managed to avoid crashing as the chuunin dodged. Chinatsu was a lot better at flying than she was. She'd had practice, Arumi had just discovered she could minutes before. It was always tricky getting used to new limbs, and she'd never had a change this major before. She'd grown new limbs, but those were just copies of ones she already had. Wings were something entirely new.

Recovering from the dive, Arumi flapped after the other girl. She bounced off a few of the mines, scattering paint on the people below and disrupting her flight. This flying thing was harder than she'd expected. Chinatsu was faster, and the paint was slowing her down even more. She flew higher to get far enough above the civilians, then looked back and spat out a Daitoppa. The wind chakra shot her forward, starting to gain on Chinatsu.

Jutsu used:

Chinatsu laugh a little before nodding approvingly as she watch Arumi start to gain on her. She formed several lightening balls at her, she was a very quick learner, but could she still react. The blonde turned forward again this time suddenly urging her speed faster  waving though the building and leaving  a few surprises. 

She pulled up going high into the air, before waiting for genin to catch up. She would laugh before diving again, pulling up just before she hit the tree tops taking back to their Training ground, before jumping into the trees the bird continuing on without her. Half hour left at this point.

Arumi barely had time to react as the lightning balls flew at her. Luckily, she had the elemental advantage here. She spat out another blast of wind, overwhelming the lightning and rushing towards Chinatsu. Arumi cursed as the chuunin veered down an alley, letting the wind blast rush down the street she had been on moments before. It flew a safe distance above the crowd, rattling windows before eventually dissipating.

Arumi flapped after her, spitting out a dictionary's worth of profanity. Chinatsu was still faster and more skilled in the air, and that blast Arumi had done had cancelled out all the momentum from the one she'd shot behind her. The genin picked up the pace, trying to follow the other girl back to the training ground. Arumi growled, noticing a riderless bird flying over the trees. She couldn't see her, and transforming her sense of smell now would just get her a noseful of paint stench. Arumi flew higher, hoping to give herself enough time to recover if a transformation threw off her flying. She growled, wobbling in the air as her ears stretched and changed. Breathing a sigh of relief that she hadn't crashed, the monstergirl swooped lower to listen near the trees.

Jutsu used:

Natsu Stood in the trees watching grinning as began channeling her lighting chakra, a few sparks shot off before forming into a large wolf. She grinned waiting till Arumi was just over head, befroe sicking her lighting beast on her. She formed her hand signs again forming another lighting ball throwing it at her as she started sculpting another bird before growing it and taking off through the trees. Donzo's forest were old and the trees were tall allowing her plenty of space to fly.

 Justu Used

Arumi heard the crackle of electricity in the forest below her. She had a lock on where Natsu was. But the other girl had seen her first, and was planning an attack. Arumi took in a huge breath, getting ready to stabilize herself. The kick from this was going to be pretty strong. The electrical beast emerged from the treetops, and Arumi spat out a massive blast of wind. It cost her a few seconds, pushing her back a bit, but it was worth it. The lightning jutsu was overwhelmed and her blast impacted in the forest below.

She barely had time to react to the next jutsu. A quick puff of air got her flight back on track, rocketing her out of the way of the ball of lightning. Arumi dove down towards the forest, hearing the beating of large wings below. Chinatsu was already flying again. Arumi was starting to get a little worn down, all these wind jutsu were beginning to take their toll. She went into a dive, aiming for what she hoped was an interception course with the chuunin. She didn't shout this time, just silently swooping down from above to tackle the smaller girl.

Jutsu used:

Natsu rushed through the trees keeping an ear out for Arumi. Sadly or fortunately the girl had learned her lesson on shouting as you attacked. She cursed the girl out fluently as they broke though several tree branches. Thinking and falling were totally impossible as the blond tagged the other girl haphazardly with a glob of clay before pushing off. She broke though a few more branches before Natsu had purchase enough to stop herself. She watched intently as Arumi fell, before she was able to stop. "You ok?" She was mostly nervous about the girls wings hurting during the fall.

Arumi landed hard, rolling a bit. She still had a lot to learn before she was ready for regular flight. She had already been coming down pretty fast when the paint bomb went off, and that had sent her into a spin. Arumi struggled to her feet, one wing hanging slightly. It was pretty clearly broken. She looked herself over, felt for any injuries, then looked up and gave Chinatsu the thumbs up. "It's okay, the wing broke my fall!" She bent over, growling as the wings retracted into her back. For once, she was relieved that a transformation was only temporary. It would have been a pain in the ass having to heal a broken wing, rather than just growing a new one next time she needed it. Might have taken her out of the action for a while, and that was the last thing she needed. She reversed the ear transformation and walked up the tree to join Chinatsu. She was a right mess, splattered with all kinds of paint. "You owe me a new wardrobe."
